I floated right through a recent blue-sky weekend, enjoying two glorious days that blended the best of summer and fall. Determined to spend more time on the water before the really cold weather arrives, a friend and I launched our kayaks on the Contoocook River in Greenfield and paddled upstream toward Peterborough Saturday.

RINDGE -- An employee of Mark Fanelli's Traveling Theme Park suffered third-degree burns on his legs after a fire erupted at a warehouse in Rindge Monday, according to Fire Chief Rickard Donovan.
